略歴

Aaron Wright is a Professor at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he directs the Cardozo Blockchain Project and other technology programs. Professor Wright's research focuses on smart contracts and the regulation of blockchain-based systems. His first book, Blockchain and the Law: The Rule of Code (Harvard University Press, co-authored with Primavera De Filippi) was published in 2018. His other academic works have appeared in publications from Oxford University Press and the Hastings Law Journal. Professor Wright has testified before Congress on issues related to blockchain technology and his work has been reviewed by the The New York Times and excerpted in Slate.

Before joining Cardozo's faculty, Professor Wright sold a company to Wikia, the for-profit sister project of Wikipedia, where he ran Wikia’s New York office, served as General Counsel and Vice President of Product and Business Development. Wright clerked for a federal judge and worked at several prominent law firms.
