Biography

Taejun is the Founder, Chair of the Board, and CEO of Gojo & Company, a start-up company aiming to provide financial service for everyone in the world. Founded in July 2014, Gojo and its group companies provide microfinance for 1 million people in 5 countries.

Having graduated from Korea University and Waseda Graduate School of Finance, Taejun worked at Morgan Stanley and Unison Capital and engaged in private equity investments.

While working for the industry, in 2007 he founded an NGO named Living in Peace and launched the first microfinance investment fund in Japan. The NGO also has supported Japanese children living under the alternative care system through various financial and non-financial schemes.

In 2018, Taejun was selected as the Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum. He also was selected as the 100 People Transforming Business in Asia by Business Insider.
