Biography

Jouk Pleiter is CEO and Founder of Backbase, the creator of the Engagement Banking Platform. Mr. Pleiter founded Backbase in 2003 and ever since the company is on a mission to transform the broken banking system, so financial institutions don’t just interact—they engage—with the people they serve. Before Backbase, He was president and co-founder of Tridion, one of the world’s leading WCM software vendors. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Groningen.
