Biography

Yuko Kawai joined Japan Digital Design Inc. a member of MUFG (Mitsubishi UFJ financial group), in November 2020 after working at Bank of Japan, and in the various financial market functions of an independent think tank and a large US financial institution. As the head of JDD, she is leading projects to digitalize financial services with the special emphasis in data analysis and customer experience design. Her job career at Bank of Japan includes the management of FinTech center, financial market analysis, bank examinations and overseas research operations in London and Hong Kong. She received an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
